Renting with pets in Sydney

This has been my specialty since day one - 11 years of asking agents whether a property is pet friendly or not.  I don't ever want to put down a Real Estate agent as I know they are busy - however, my biggest frustration is how few agents actually know whether the apartment in a building is Governed by a 'no-pet' clause, nor do they often enough ask the landlord what their true thoughts are about renting their home to a pet owner.  We are then left with the vague 'upon application' answer when we ask whether a property is pet friendly or not.  This is not good enough - it wastes so much time and effort and also causes so much heartache and stress that...please... Santa, the only thing I wish for Christmas is for all agents to make it mandatory to state whether the property 'will definitely not' or 'may very well' allow pets - as confirmed and definitely discussed by the landlord.
